My name is Michael Rowland.
I have always had a passion for joinery. Coming from a very different career background which I wasn’t completely content with, I decided to do what I enjoyed most and enrolled on a joinery course.
Having a family to support, all this had to be completed during the evening. One year into the course, I took a job with a small building company specialising in barn conversions. A steep learning curve followed but I realised I was finally happy in my work.
I passed my city and guilds with distinction!
I gained a new position with a Joinery firm in Malton working on shop fits and bespoke items. From there I subcontracted to other building companies before deciding to specialise in kitchens.
In February 2007 I started trading as MCR Joinery ...........
